Northern Colorado’s first full-circle residential food-waste collection service—making home composting easy, clean, and affordable.
Founded in 2014 by Greeley native Geoffrey Schmidt, CGC began with a simple goal: give households a convenient way to turn food scraps into a local soil resource. Today CGC serves Fort Collins and surrounding communities with weekly curbside pickup.
We provide the equipment and the weekly service—indoor bin and liners, outdoor bin, on-time pickup—and we work with professional composting partners to process organics to high standards. Each spring, customers can request finished compost back for gardens and lawns.
CGC collaborates with A1 Organics and other certified facilities; the program features zero-emissions EV collection to reduce route impacts. Since launch, CGC reports millions of pounds of organics diverted from landfills.
